Fall Foto Fun – Sherburne Family

I absolutely love being able to “follow” families as they grow, and man have these three boys gotten big since our session together in the Spring! Not only have they grown physically, but it’s so fun being able to see their little personalities develop and become more aware of their surroundings. If these three precious boys didn’t already have such an amazing Mom and Dad I’d be tempted to take them home with me.:)Nonetheless, I love the opportunities I have to spend time with all of them as I watch them interact as such a loving family of five. Lauren and Aaron, you have all grabbed a piece of my heart, and I’m so honored that you allow me to document the growth of your family.:)

Ian’s Black Belt Testing – Master Kim’s Talium – Wantage, NJ

True physical and mental toughness are usually qualities/characteristics that are one begins to develop in the later teen years…not so with Ian! As a “boy” in middle school, he has and continues to prove just what a real young man he has already become. His wonderful parents will attest to this, I can guarantee. His martial arts training has been a contributing factor for sure. I had the amazing privilege of helping tell the story of his 2nd degree Black Belt testing at Master Kim’s Talium in Wantage, NJ. His teacher is a firm and demanding expert in his field, yet his gentleness and care for his students is something I greatly admire in the short time I have now known him. To learn such important life skills in an environment like this is part of the reason why Ian has succeeded. That’s not to take away from his own skills that he so clearly demonstrated on this day. Don’t dare meet this young man in a dark alley if you’ve decided to get on his bad side. Ian, although I’m not one of your parents, I’m so proud of all that you have accomplished, and it’s been a joy to see you grown into such a fine young man over the years!!

May + Jake Wedding – Portobello | Oakland, NJ

I’m not sure there is much that wouldn’t make these two smile, and when they’re together, they absolutely beam! What could a girl from Tennessee and a guy from NJ have in common? More than just the love they share for each other is the love that they have for God. In the short time I have known this gorgeous couple, we have had some time to talk about how important that aspect is in marriage and why they desire to share it with others.

It’s not every day that a father who is a pastor has the honor of officiating the wedding of his own son, so it was extra special for Jake to have his Dad give them the charges as they became husband and wife on this gorgeous day! My good friend and wonderful photographer, Emily Wilson, gave a great perspective in capturing Jake and his guys getting ready, as well as helping me document the ceremony.

May and Jake, many exciting, challenging and fun-filled days await you two as you start in this chapter of your lives together. I pray that you will continue to walk in the love and truth of the one who first loved you and gave Himself for you, so that you might live in Him! What an honor and privilege is was to spend the day with you two as you trusted me to help freeze a few memories in time. Thanks for your friendship!

Baby Bump – Alexis + Jose Maternity

The timing that we got with these two couldn’t have been any better, since their little bambino decided to come into the world a couple weeks early. We had a gorgeous fall day, and Alexis and Jose couldn’t have been any more fun! They are both so caring and loving toward each other, and this made it even more enjoyable to be their “personal paparazzi” for the day.:)It was such an honor to have had the opportunity to capture this time in both of your lives!

French Riviera Wedding: Diana + Thierry

As a photographer there is no greater honor than traveling halfway around the world to shoot a wedding, especially when the bride and groom are good friends. Diana + Thierry are contagious….in a good way of course. Diana’s excitement and sense of adventure in life is met by Thierry’s jovial personality that leaves everyone in his path smiling from ear to ear. Their wedding was different than most that I shoot in that it was comprised of several days of events (more photos of those to come). No offense to my other couples, but I’m going to be honest and say that this was the highlight of my summer! What an amazing six days I had spending time with these two friends, not only photographing all their love and excitement, but also just being real with them and being a part of their lives. Thank you two for making me feel so at home in a new place and for allowing me the distinct honor of capturing this, the start of your life together in France. You both hold a big place in my heart!
