Lake Valhalla Club Wedding | Cris + Chris

Cris + Chris…..or is it Chris + Cris? The order isn’t important, because if one calls out the(ir) name(s), either of them will look up or respond. Although I had their attention while capturing their beautiful day, it definitely wasn’t about me! This beautiful couple and I first met through a high school friend of mine who was actually a bridesmaid. There’s something special about getting to know my couples in a way that extends beyond just being their photographer. This was no exception as we also share a similar passion for our faith in God and other interests. From their engagement session in Asbury Park to the more rustic and wooded area of northern NJ for their wedding day, it’s been a pleasure to also become their friend. Speaking of which, my friend and super-talented photographer, Emily Wilson, joined me in the fun of capturing this special day.

Cris + Chris, I pray that God’s love draws you closer and closer to Him with each day and that this love pours out of your hearts for each other! Thanks again for allowing me the honor of sharing in and documenting this fantastic day!

May + Jake Engagement Session | Wyckoff, NJ

I’m not sure if the pictures show it or not, but this couple knows how to have fun!!:)Laid back and full of joy, May and Jake made it easy on me to just capture them in such a natural setting….just being themselves. I honestly felt like I was a paparazzi on assignment to capture what it’s like for a couple on their first date, except these two are going to get married in a week! They share not only a deep passion for their relationship with God but also a love for each other that is genuine and contagious. May and Jake, I’m so excited to capture your wedding day next week as you proclaim to the world whose you are….in more than one way.:)

NYC | Park Avenue Wedding | Andrea + Juan

What could have been perceived by some to be a ruined wedding day was turned into a magical celebration that the rain couldn’t hinder. I’m sure Andrea + Juan would have preferred to have their planned outdoor wedding to happen that way, but their personalities just go with the flow. Were the quarters tight? Yes. Was the weather ideal? No. Was the expression of their love and the joy of their friends and family altered in any way?? Absolutely not! NYC weddings have an element of their own, lending such creativity around every corner for different photographic perspectives. The magic takes place when my couples aren’t afraid to try some different ideas, and these two didn’t disappoint. Thanks for allowing me some extra time with you to give that special finishing touch to your amazing day!
Andrea, as my beautiful sister-in-law, I am so thrilled for you to marry such a quality guy in Juan! You two perfectly complete each other, and I sincerely mean that. Thanks for allowing me the honor to capture the beauty of your day!!

Four Sisters Winery Wedding | Megan + Todd

Outdoor weddings are such a blast, especially when the weather cooperates. I know Megan and Todd were hoping for everything but what the forecast had said. Good thing the weatherman was wrong again….at least for when it mattered the most. The time we needed outside with both Megan, Todd and their bridal party was just enough. Not only was their wedding outside, but at a gorgeous winery in NW New Jersey. The Four Sisters Winery was a simple yet elegant venue for their wedding, where the beautiful vineyards surrounded the day’s events. The most fun of all was the time I spent with just the two of them walking through the rows of grapes and capturing their love for each other. My talented photographer friend, Zack Wilson, joined me to help document the day.

Megan and Todd, thank you for allowing me the honor of sharing in the joy that was so evident as you proclaimed to family and friends your love for each other. May this, your wedding day, be a significant marker in your relationship where the bond between you grows even stronger. And don’t forget to tell Buttermilk thanks for letting me spend a whole day with you.:)

Familienfotos in Esslingen, DE – Kerry, Maz + the Divas

Having such amazing history with certain friends just blows my mind sometimes. Kerry and Mazlum are no exception! I first met Kerry over ten years ago when we were both in Germany working with the same sports organization. 15+ hours in a train from Budapest, Hungary to Romania allowed us to get to know each other quite well. The following year, Mazlum and I played on the same soccer team as we toured Greece for two weeks. In the meantime, I sensed that some sort of a connection was developing between the two of them. Needless to say, I moved back to the states, and let’s just say the rest is history.:)What a blessing it is to have friends like them!! We hadn’t seen each other for quite some time, but facebook and email kept us connected. It took traveling back to Germany to spend time together, but it sure was worth the effort!! Their three adorable girls are absolutely precious and have won quite the place in my heart.:)Although we only got a full day together this summer, I’m thankful for the friendship that we share, even despite the distance. Where else would two Americans speak more German together than English? Haha. I love you guys!!
